Industry experience::
I. 20 years of experience in the tourism and recreation industry working as an employee at grassroots level (trainee, team leader….) to now a senior management executive.
II. Having gone through the crucible and experience of each stage at work, the Toong Mao Resorts & Hotels were founded and now it is a franchise of seven hotels, namely:
1. Toong-Shing Hot Spring Hotel
2. Ken-ting Toong Mao Kao-shang-ching Hotel
3. Kaohsiung Toong Mao Resort Hotel
4. Guan-Zih-Ling Toong Mao Spa Resort
5. Kaohsiung CU Hotel
6. Wei-Yat Toong Mao Grand Hotel
Governmental experience:
Appointed as a member of the tourism advisory guidance committee of the Tourism Bureau, Ministry of Transportation and Communication; coached and assessed many hotels during the six-year appointment.
Additionally, served in the Bureau of Employment and Vocational Training, Council of Labor Affairs, as a visiting evaluation committee member who conducts advanced training for laborers on-the-job, and as a consultant for the Enterprise Training Network Human Resource Development Service Team.
Teaching experience:
In order to pass on the industry experience and upon invitation of the schools, Shih taught related courses at various universities such as Nanhua University, Asia University (or Taichung Healthcare and Management University), National Kaohsiung Hospitality College, Chaoyang University of Technology, and Overseas Chinese Institute of Technology.
Seminars:
In a span of three years, Shih was invited to hold about 60 seminars at various schools (e.g. National Kaohsiung University of Applied Sciences, National Kaohsiung First University of Science & Technology, National Kaohsiung Hospitality College, National Dong Hwa University ) and institutes (such as Taiwan Resort Hotel Association, Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communication, Bureau of Employment and Vocational Training of the Council of Labor Affairs, Kaohsiung County Government, Hualien County Government, Investment Promotion Committee of Taitung County, and hotel associations in Keelung, Taitung County, Nantou County and Taichung County).
